A part of Seville's history is connected to the Romans. Was it not Julius Caesar himself who changed the early village into a town within the empire? Just outside of Seville, in Italica, this roman influence is still breathable, visiting an enormous ongoing archaeological digging site. Certain buildings here are so impressive, that even the film makers of Game of Thrones fell for them. The cycling tour to the village is a nice experience by its own and takes you along the river banks of the Guadalquivir. Get out of town for a while! This tour takes 5 hours in total.
